The Compagnia Nazionale di Danza Storica has added one more course to an already rich curriculum to meet the requests of several enthusiasts – an ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE IN HISTORICAL DANCE by Master Debora Bianco.
The Course focuses on coaching students to getting to know their own bodies (taking care of posture) and their mechanics in order to acquire a greater mastery of movement and artistic expression through specific exercises (études). Students are also to engage in other études to perfect the execution of steps and figures (some may be already known to them, others will be totally new). They are key elements of choreographies that will be studied in the second month of the workshop.
At the end of the first month, students will take a test to
Verify their Aptitude for Advanced Training with a Dance Master who is not a member of the CNDS and who’ll decide whether they are eligible for the second phase of the Course.
Those who pass the test will focus on steps and figures they will need to master in order to perform one or more complex choreographies of the Historical Dance repertoire.
