CNDS & Solidarity
Over the years, the Compagnia Nazionale di Danza Storica has participated in many institutional and charitable initiatives contributing to fund important projects promoted by TELETHON, UNICEF, AIRC, AIP, CRI, LIONS, ROTARY, TOGETHER FOR PEACE FOUNDATION, CARE AND SHARE, AISM, SOS BRASIL, WWF, SAVE THE CHILDREN.
As examples:
- The CNDS joined forces with ALVIERO MARTINI for CARE AND SHARE to fund a Distance Adoption Project in Andhra Pradesh, India. It allows man children to find sponsors among the generous friends of the Compagnia Nazionale;
- CNDS Uganda is the brain child of Elena Stefaroi and Nino Graziano Luca and is dedicated to raising money for purchasing mattresses and covering the daily expenses of the children of the FOODSTEP Shelter in the district of Entebbe, about 40 km from the capital Kampala;
- CNDS and the Charity Gala of the Daisies is yet another initiative that supports S.O.S BRASIL ONLUS, an NGO directed by Grazia Matteoni whose goal is to support children living in Porto Seguro, a very poor community in the State of Bahia about 750 km. from San Salvador. In particular, the project has contributed to enlarge the Melquizedeque orphanage and to open the Vo Jurema home and Educational Center for adolescents at risk. Finally,
- the Grand Christmas Ball which CNDS organizes every year to offer a memorable day to a person whose daily life is very difficult.
